Intro to Needle Felting - Lil' Birds
Be inspired by the museum's exhibit, Into the Time Horizon, and discover the art of needle felting as you create a charming little bird from soft wool fibers. During the workshop, you'll sculpt a unique feathered friend while exploring themes of nature and our connection to the living world. This beginner-friendly workshop includes all materials and is perfect for beginners and experienced learners alike.

Intro to Wet Felting - Pumpkins!
Celebrate the colors of autumn by creating a beautiful wet felted pumpkin with soft merino wool and other fibers and simple wet felting techniques. You'll learn how loose wool fibers transform into a sturdy, sculptural pumpkin with rich texture and character. Finish your piece with a natural stem and decorative accents to create a one-of-a-kind fall decoration that's perfect for your home or as a handmade gift. This beginner-friendly class includes all materials, and no prior felting experience is required.

5080 Camp for Artisans & Crafters - Graeagle, California

Explore Felting Techniques
Spend a creative weekend exploring both wet felting and needle felting techniques. This immersive, hands-on workshop features three unique projects designed to build felting skills while encouraging personal expression. Learn how to card wool and other fibers to create a custom art batt, which will be transformed into your beautiful felted scarf.

Additional felting techniques include needle felting a charming little mouse and wet-felting a cozy bird pod. Participants are invited to forage along the creek for natural materials to enhance their felted pieces.
This weekend workshop is ideal for beginners, as well as those with felting experience. Deepen your fiber skills, experiment with form and color, and enjoy a relaxed, nature-inspired creative retreat.
